Susan Boyle + Rage Against The Machine?

Susan Boyle and Rage Against The Machine?

Neither did we which makes this an interesting story. Truth is though that it might not happen.

Rage frontman, Zack De La Rocha, that invited the Britain’s Got Talent star to gig with them when they tour the UK this summer. He has even picked out a song that he thinks Susan would be perfect for: Killing In The Name.

Charming.

The idea came about due to Susan’s meteoric rise to fame in the US. People in the UK view the operatic star as a little bonkers – but the US love the story behind her success. They’ll probably make a movie about it all … someday.

Zack had this to say:

We love Susan Boyle, she is hot. To show there are no hard feelings we would like her to perform onstage with us this summer. She is a great vocalist and we would love to perform ‘Killing In The Name’ with her. Everybody knows her in the US and she can add her vocals to anything. It would be an honour for us“.

I sure hope he meant hot as in hot property due to her fame right now, and not hot as in hot.

So, Susan Boyle head banging to Killing In The Name…. Is that something you’d want to see at a Rage concert?

Time Flies For Oasis

Oasis are soon to release a Singles album called Time Flies.

The album will be released onJune 14th and will include all singles released by the band except Sunday Morning Call. The reason for this is unknown.

The band have been missing since in the album stakes for two years, following Dig Out Your Soul, and touring ceased when Noeleffectively disbanded the group last year – but we are pretty sure that this album will be well received.

The tracklisting looks awesome.

The Swedish Synthpop trio Mr Jones Machine are back after some time off. The new album “Monokrom” is, just as the last album “Återvändsgränd”, all with Swedish lyrics.

The album are presented with 10 new tracks, and what a way they do it in. Even if the playtime mearly is 40 minutes, the music really is addictive and will for sure get any fan of the 80?s Swedish pop music. But it is so much more then just that. The band deliver one strong refrain after the other to clever soundscapes in a great way.

“Monokrom” feels very modern and the mixture of more melodic songs like “De Månbleka Tingen” or “Det Kalla Kriget” to the more fast-paced “Vit Citroën” and “Optimister & Pessimister” to some deep and darker tracks in “Vitt Brus” is just great.

The ending track “Gardin Av Järn” is 4 minutes of amazing tunes that bring you both joy and sadness at the same time and the last time I heard something like this was earlier this year. A track that very much can be compared with the Covenant track “The Road”, from their new album. It got the same atmospheric approach and the synthetic soundscapes are just so beautiful.

This is 40 minutes of pleasure of beautifully composed and very catchy synthpop/new romantic that delivers a great atmosphere and strong vocals. Simplicity meets complexity when it is at its best!

Tracklist:

01. De Månbleka Tingen (feat. Susie)
02. Naken
